How Does Ordering And Delivery Work?
Your weekly order can be placed online, by phone or fax, 7 days a week/24 hours a day. Orders must be received no later than 8PM on Thursday for the following Tuesday's delivery. Guaranteed delivery to your home by 7am. We accept Visa, MasterCard and Discover.

Is There A Minimum Ordering Requirement?
There is no "sign-up" commitment. There is a $30 minimum and $7 delivery charge per weekly delivery. Beyond that, you may order anything on our menu. Order just one week, every other week or monthly - the choice is yours.

Do I Need To Be Home To Receive Delivery?
No. We deliver Monday night into Tuesday morning. Depending on the driver's route, delivery can be anytime before 7am.  Meals are delivered in thermal insulated bags, packed with ice packs.  Bags can be left on a doorstep or other designated place, and payment can be made by credit card at time of ordering.

Do Your Meals Contain Much Salt Or Fat?
All of our meals are low in calories and saturated fat. Only trace amounts of sea salt and extra-virgin cold-press olive oil are added to meals as needed.

What Type Of Containers Do Your Meals Come In?
Meals are packaged in convenient, reusable, high quality plastic trays that are microwave and freezer-safe. Heating and freezing instructions, as well as serve-by dates are labeled on each container.  We encourage our customers to reuse the containers or recycle them.  Lynda's can not take them back or reuse them due to Health Department regulations

Can I sample Eat Well and Be Well  food?

As a matter of fact you can! Just visit the Huntington Cinema Arts Center Sky Room Cafe.  Our famous Good Karma Chili, delicious soups, gourmet burgers, and salads are sold there every day.  While you're there, take in a movie and have fun!

Can the meals be frozen?

Yes, most of the food can be frozen. Items not suitable for freezing will be noted on the label. Any meal that will not be served before the date on the container should be frozen on the delivery date. Before freezing a dish remove the plastic lid and any sauce containers. Put a layer of plastic wrap directly on the food surface to prevent moisture loss. Replace the lid and freeze. The sauce may be kept refrigerated for up to 9 days.

Do you use any animal products?

No, all our meals are vegan.  This means that no animal products are used in our meals or during the preparation of our meals.

Do you use organic products?

Yes, we use organic products in our meals.  Sometimes, due to market availability, we can not get items organically grown and we will substitute transitional or conventional products.  We avoid this whenever possible.   We serve these meals to our family and friends and are committed to eating organic products.  We will always use organic products that meet our quality requirements.

Does Eat Well and Be Well provide catering?

Yes, we provide a full selection of food for catered events.  We can cater a complete menu or enhance a catered event with vegetarian dishes to complement non-vegetarian food served.  Please call or email us regarding this service.

Can you accommodate specific dietary needs?

Can my delivery be unpacked into a cooler I leave for you?

Our bags are packed at our kitchen and can be left anywhere you request.  However our drivers must leave the food in our cooler bags for several reasons.

If the drive accidentally drops an item while transferring it he has no extras to replace it.

Our ice and bags are designed to keep our food at proper temperature during transportation and until mid-morning at your home.

If there is a chance of rain or snow we pre-pack our bags in plastic rain bags so that the driver can easily and quickly drop the bag and continue their route.

Can I pick up my order?

Yes, orders can usually be picked up late on Monday and most Tuesdays at our kitchen in Oakdale.  Please arrange this when you place your order.

Do you have to be a vegetarian to order?

No. Less than 10% of our current customers are vegetarian or vegan. The rest are simply trying to eat better and are often using our meals only a few times a week. We have many busy professionals, new moms and dads, people who are looking for a sensible way to lose weight and those who are recovering from or living with illness ordering our meals.

Is each entree container one serving or two?

Depending on your appetite, most of our meals can be considered two meals or a very large single portion. For most of our entrees you can think of them as restaurant size portions.
